Daily Brief and Digest for Law Firms
A done-for-you morning brief and daily digest for law firms. Cases, deadlines, new leads, and inbox priorities in one place, every morning.
Where this sits
Layer 4 of the AI Operating System: it runs on a schedule, no human prompt needed.
Most days at a law firm start the same way. You open the inbox, scan for anything urgent, check the calendar, look for new intakes, and try to remember what was promised yesterday. By the time you have a clear picture of the day, the morning is gone and the billable work has not started yet.
The Daily Brief and Digest is a done-for-you capability inside your AI Operating System. Every morning before you sit down, you get one short brief in your inbox. It pulls from your matter management, calendar, billing, and email, summarizes what changed in the last 24 hours, flags deadlines and court dates, lists new leads and their status, and tells you what needs a decision today. You read it in two minutes and start the day already oriented.
Where this sits in your AI Operating System
This capability sits in the Cadence layer of the AIOS. Cadence is what makes the system run on a schedule without being asked, so the brief is waiting for you whether you open it at 6 a.m. or 9 a.m. It depends on the other three layers to be useful:
- Context: the system knows your practice areas, your partners, your priority clients, and what counts as urgent in your firm.
- Connections: it reads from your matter system, calendar, billing tool, intake forms, and email so the brief is built from live data, not a static template.
- Capabilities: it reuses the same summarization and routing workflows that draft replies, follow up on leads, and prepare client updates.
- Cadence: it runs on a fixed schedule every business morning, and on a lighter schedule on weekends if you want it.
What “done” looks like
The artifact is a single email or document delivered to you at a fixed time each weekday. It is short, scannable, and written in your voice. A typical brief includes:
- Top 3 items that need your decision today, with one-line context for each.
- Court dates, filing deadlines, and statute deadlines in the next 7 and 30 days.
- Matters with movement in the last 24 hours, with a one-line summary of what changed.
- New leads from the last 24 hours, with source, matter type, and current status in the 60-Second Lead Engine.
- Outstanding invoices over a threshold you set, and any payments received.
- Items waiting on you for more than 48 hours, so nothing quietly goes cold.
Service level: delivered by 7:30 a.m. local time, every business day, with a 99 percent on-time rate. If a source system is down, the brief still ships with a note about what is missing.
How we install it
- Audit (free, about 10 minutes): we walk through your current morning routine, what you check, what you miss, and which systems hold the data. Run the audit.
- Install (10 business days): we connect the system to your matter management, calendar, billing, and inbox, set your priority rules, draft the brief format in your voice, and run it in parallel with your existing routine for a week so you can compare.
- Operate (ongoing): the brief runs every morning. We tune the format based on what you actually use, and we add one new automation per week to the AIOS. See plans.
Expected results
- 30 to 60 minutes saved each morning per partner or owner, from not having to assemble the picture by hand.
- Fewer missed deadlines and follow-ups, because items waiting on you are surfaced before they go stale.
- Faster decisions on new leads, because intake status is in front of you every morning instead of buried in a CRM tab.
- Better partner alignment, because everyone can read the same brief and start the day with the same view.
Standing guarantee: across your full AIOS, we recover 40 or more hours a month for your firm, or we keep working free until we do.
Frequently asked questions
Can each partner get their own version of the brief?
Yes. We can deliver a personalized brief per partner or per practice group, with their matters, their leads, and their deadlines. The underlying system is shared, the view is tailored.
What if our matter management system is older or on-premise?
We work with what you have. If a system does not have a clean integration, we use scheduled exports or a lightweight bridge to read the data we need. The brief still ships on time.
Will the brief expose confidential matter details in email?
You set the rules. We can deliver the brief inside your existing secure environment instead of standard email, redact client names, or link out to the matter rather than including details inline. Confidentiality controls are part of the install.
